This clear daily outline is taken from the supplied package brochure. The operating order can change when flights, weather, roads or local conditions require it.

Day 0

Gathering and departure

Gather at the PSO petrol pump near the Daewoo terminal at Thokar Niaz Baig, Lahore, then travel towards Islamabad via GT Road or motorway.

Day 1

Islamabad to Chilas via Naran

Receive Rawalpindi participants near the Daewoo stop at 26 Number, travel towards Chilas, breakfast at Balakot, optional river rafting in Naran, sightseeing at Batakundi and Barwai, lunch break at Besar, and visits to Lulusar Lake and Babusar Top before dinner and overnight stay in Chilas.

Day 2

Chilas to Skardu

Travel towards Skardu, visit Nanga Parbat Viewpoint and the junction of the mountain ranges, continue on Skardu Road, then visit Shangrila Resort and Upper Kachura Lake before an overnight stay in Skardu.

Day 3

Manthoka, Shigar and Cold Desert

Breakfast, visit Manthoka Waterfall, return through Shigar Valley, visit Sarfaranga Cold Desert and Shigar Fort, then return to Skardu for the night.

Day 4

Bashu Valley

Breakfast, transfer to jeeps at additional cost, visit Bashu Waterfall and Bashu Valley, then return to Skardu for dinner and an overnight hotel stay.

Day 5

Skardu to Chilas or Naran

Breakfast and travel towards Naran or Chilas, followed by dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 6

Return journey

Early breakfast according to the road schedule, travel back to Islamabad with short stops, then continue to Lahore where the tour ends.

  • Standard - Chilas: Golden Lodges or Royal City; Naran: Kings in Naran, Snow Bel Naran or Belladona Naran; Skardu: Pyramid Lodges, Gashabrum Resort or Haragisa Inn.
  • Deluxe - Chilas: Kifayat Guest House or Indus View Hotel; Naran: Grace Continental Hotel Naran or Jovial Gold Hotel Naran; Skardu: Grace Continental Hotel or Himalaya Hotel.
  • Executive - Chilas: Shangrila Resort or Legend Hotel Hunza; Skardu: Guman Resort or Qayaam-e-Skardu.
  • Business - Chilas: Shangrila Resort; Skardu: Khoj Resort or Brook Resort.
  • Hotels are subject to availability; an equivalent hotel may be provided when a listed property is unavailable.

Child policy

  • Under 4 years: free when travelling on a lap or folding seat, if available
  • Age 4-9: half charge with folding seat
  • The brochure also states that children above 8 years pay the full charge; confirm the applicable rate for ages 8-9 before booking

Payment terms

  • 50% advance per seat at booking
  • The advance is non-refundable

Package conditions

  • Guests must carry required medicine and should not join the tour when ill or displaying contagious symptoms.
  • Unethical behaviour, abusive language, drug use or misconduct can result in removal from the tour without refund.
  • Illegal or prohibited items and weapons are not allowed.
  • Vehicle air conditioning may be switched on and off on mountain roads to prevent overheating.
  • Four-to-five-person sharing can include two or three beds plus mattresses shared with roommates.
  • The route may change because of weather, political conditions, road conditions, vehicle issues or participant safety.
  • The company may cancel the tour without prior notice for an appropriate reason; participants receive a refund of the advance amount only.
  • The company is not responsible for missed sightseeing points caused by natural events, road conditions, political conditions or vehicle faults.
  • Guests are responsible for their personal belongings.
  • Trips are family-friendly and damage to the environment is not tolerated.
  • Extending a booking costs PKR 5,000 per seat; an extra requested tour day costs PKR 5,000 per person.
  • Tours are not insured; the company is not responsible for incidents caused by unforeseen natural hazards or accidents.
  • Conflict or violence is prohibited. Guests must respect different cultures, religions, beliefs and affiliations.
  • A fuel increase of PKR 20 per litre may result in an additional PKR 1,000 charge.
  • Seats are assigned according to booking and rotated during the trip; a preferred seat may require an extra charge.

Important notes

  • Jeep cost for Bashu Valley is not included.
  • Seasonal routes and attractions are visited only when open and safe.
  • The brochure contains a separate note mentioning two dinners, three breakfasts and BBQ/bonfire, which conflicts with its main inclusion list of six breakfasts and five dinners; confirm meal arrangements before booking.

The tour manager may adjust the route, hotel or sightseeing order because of weather, road conditions or guest safety. Seasonal places are visited only when the route is open.
